Bol - coffee bowl

Vintage French coffee bowl - café au lait bowl - called Bol. Used for drinking coffee in the morning where one had a busy schedule and therefore the coffee had to cool down fast - hence the big surface. The earthenware bol has great patina as it was an item that was in everyday use. This one was made for the French supermarket chain Casino, and has the "casino" name as an inscripted decoration.
